Tall Ships Festival - Presented by The Rotary Club of Cleveland at the Cleveland Harbor

In July 2010 a fleet of magnificent Tall Ships will sail into Cleveland’s harbor to participate in a 4-day, fun-filled festival. The Port of Cleveland and the Rotary Club of Cleveland will host a dozen replica historic vessels in celebration of the Rotary Club’s 100th anniversary.

The Festival will showcase the diverse Great Lakes maritime history, spotlighting environmental themes while promoting youth leadership through sail training. Visitors can board the vessels, meet the crew and experience the heritage these ships symbolize.

Cleveland welcomes the Great Lakes United Tall Ships Challenge ®, a series of port to port international sailing races, cruises and maritime festivals starting in Toronto and ending in Chicago. The Cleveland Festival opens with the exhilarating Parade of Sail on July 7 at 4:00 p.m. as the ships enter the harbor under full sail.
