OMIGOD YOU GUYS-
IT'S LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL!

The verdict is in…LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL is, according to the evidence presented by Time Magazine, “an Elle of a show.” Nominated for seven Tony Awards and ten Drama Desk Awards, KeyBank’s Broadway Series is called to the stand with LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL. The trial begins November 11 at PlayhouseSquare and is dismissed on November 23. Based on the hit MGM movie starring Reese Witherspoon and bestselling novel by Amanda Brown, LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL is “Serious” about the message that “What You Want” is to go after your dreams and not have people judge you by your appearance.

If you’ve ever been judged for the way you look or don’t look,
If you’ve ever had a dream that you never even imagined could come true,
All rise for LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL because beyond a reasonable doubt it is, according to Fox News, “an infectious good time!”

New York Times critic Ben Brantley said, “A girl can be a powder puff and a power broker at the same time. You see, LEGALLY BLONDE lets a gal have it all.”

The burden of proof is in LEGALLY BLONDE’S Tony and Drama Desk nominated music, lyrics, book, direction, choreography, set and costume design. Pat Collins of WWOR-TV declared, “I don’t think I’ve been this excited since Wicked. "LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL is funner!"

SYNOPSIS

Elle Woods, a Malibu sorority sister gets dumped by her boyfriend for being too much of a Marilyn and not enough of a Jackie. She follows him to Harvard Law School and in her attempt to get him back discovers she is more than just a blonde when her dreams are “So Much Better” than before.

DID YOU KNOW…

MTV filmed LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL to air six times, successfully bringing Broadway to more than 6.9 million viewers.

Then MTV produced "Legally Blonde: The Search for Elle Woods," an eight week audition where 12 actors showcased their talents while competing to take over the role of Elle Woods on Broadway. Auditions for the show took place in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Orlando and Nashville. Bailey Hanks won the coveted role.
Runner-up Autumn Herlbert visited Cleveland for PlayhouseSquare’s Season On Sale event in September.

Bailey Hanks of South Carolina is not the first Southern Belle to appear as Elle. Laura Bell Bundy, the original Broadway Elle, is from Lexington, Kentucky and Reese Witherspoon, the original movie Elle, is from New Orleans, Louisiana.

Other contestants from the MTV Show "Legally Blonde: The Search for Elle Woods” also won roles in the stage show. The National Tour features Rhiannon Hansen as Margo and Lauren Ashley Zakrin in the ensemble and as the understudy for Elle and Margo.
