Celebrating MARVIN HAMLISCH Concert will be televised

The New York Philharmonic will present One Singulgar Sensation: Celebrating Marvin Hamlisch on New Years Eve. The concert, which takes place on December 31 at 7:30 p.m. at Avery Fisher Hall, will be televised nationally on PBS and will feature Audra McDonald, Kelli O’Hara, Raul Espara and Josh Groban, among others. Cast of NEWSIES to perform on DWTS

The cast of Disney’s Newsies will perform on the results show of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars on Tuesday November 13. Newsies features a Tony Award-winning score with music by eight-time Academy Award winner Alvan Menken, with lyrics by Jack Feldman and a book by four-time Tony winner Harvey Fierstein. ANGELA LANSBURY eyes revival of THE CHALK GARDEN

Angela Lansbury (pictured above), who is already set to star in the Australian run of Driving Miss Daisy, is also looking to play a part in an upcoming Broadway revival. Lansbury may join the cast of the Enid Bagnold play The Chalk Garden, which was originally on Broadway in 1956 - the show is aiming for a fall 2013 run. (broadway.com) read more
