Date Set for BROADWAY BACKWARDS Benefit at the Palace Theatre

The eighth annual edition of BROADWAY BACKWARDS will be held March 18 at Broadway’s Palace Theatre. The event, which benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Transgender Community Center, features performers singing tunes typically sung by their opposite gender. Original Cast Member Rory O’Malley to Depart THE BOOK OF MORMON

Original cast member and Tony nominee Rory O’Malley (pictured above with cast) has announced that he will be leaving the Broadway cast of THE BOOK OF MORMON on January 27. A replacement for O’Malley has not yet been announced. THE BOOK OF MORMON national tour comes to PlayhouseSquare June 18 - July 7, 2013. (broadway.com) Read more.

Les Misérables Nabs Eight Academy Award Nominations

The Academy Award nominees were announced yesterday (January 10) and the movie adaptation of LES MISÉRABLES scored eight nominations including Best Picture, Best Actor (Hugh Jackman), Best Supporting Actress (Anne Hathaway) and Best Original Song ("Suddenly").
