Musical BIG FISH sets Fall Dates at Neil Simon Theatre

The musical adaptation of Big Fish is officially casting its net into the Broadway seas. Starring two-time Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz and Tony nominees Kate Baldwin and Bobby Steggert, the musical will begin performances September 5 at the Neil Simon Theatre. Opening night is set for October 6. Read more (broadway.com)

And the Award Goes To... LES MISERABLES!

At the Golden Globes Les Misérables snagged three of the awards. The movie took home the award for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy. Also, stars Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway won the awards for Best Performance by an a Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy and Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture, respectively. Aaron Carter is taking a leave of absence from THE FANTASTICKS for a Concert Tour

Recording artist and Broadway alum Aaron Carter will take his final bow as love-struck teenager Matt in The Fantasticks at off-Broadway’s Snapple Theater Center on February 17. Carter, who will depart the production for a concert tour, plans to return to the long-running musical at a yet to be determined date after the tour is finished. No replacement for the role of Matt has been announced at this time. Read more (broadway.com)
