Parking at PlayhouseSquare
PlayhouseSquare has kept event night parking affordable for our customers. In fact, parking purchased for the on-site PlayhouseSquare garage at just $10.00, is priced lower than other parking facilities at every downtown entertainment and sports venue, where prices are more than double at $15 to $25 on event night for lots that can be several blocks away.
The PlayhouseSquare Garage is located at East 15th and Chester with elevators located on each level and a walkway to the complex.
Purchase parking in the PlayhouseSquare Parking Garage in advance and save! Parking is just $9.00 online ($10.00 on-site). You can also purchase advance parking for the Hanna Garage when seeing a show in the Hanna Theatre or 14th Street Theatre.
Parking passes may also be purchased at the PlayhouseSquare Ticket Office (located in the State Theatre Lobby) during normal business hours.
Construction Advisory:
From Sept. 2010 to June 2011, guests going between the PlayhouseSquare garage and the theaters will be directed through a temporary, lighted pathway between the Allen Theatre and Idea Center.
Please note: this temporary pathway does contain a minimal amount of stairs and may not be accessible for some guests with disabilities. You may want to choose alternate methods for accessing the theaters (i.e. parking in one of the surface lots on the south side of Euclid Avenue and/or asking a member of your party to drive you to the curb-side drop-off point in front of the theaters).
This construction is a result of the Allen Theatre Renovation Project. In the Fall of 2011, PlayhouseSquare will welcome the Cleveland Play House and Cleveland State University as new resident companies. They will perform in a transformed Allen Theatre and two new theater spaces. Find out more about this historic development.

Look for the Gold and Blue Uniforms…Our Downtown Clean and Safe Ambassadors
When you’re in the PlayhouseSquare District, a clean and secure environment makes your outing more enjoyable. That is why the Downtown Cleveland Alliance (DCA) launched the Clean and Safe Ambassadors Program more than four years ago. Fifty-five Ambassadors work seven days a week, cleaning and patrolling the sidewalks downtown and are recognized by their gold and blue uniforms.
Aside from greeting and cleaning, the DCA Safety Ambassadors patrol downtown on foot and bicycle. People working late at night and guests walking back to their cars after a performance at PlayhouseSquare appreciate the presence of the Ambassadors on the sidewalks, and especially their willingness to walk them to their cars.
