Great Lakes Theater FestivalGreat Lakes Theater, Cleveland’s professional classic theater since 1962, is one of the nation’s pre-eminent regional theater companies. Great Lakes Theater, which features a resident company of artists, brings four of the world’s greatest plays to life in rotating repertory each season from September through May in its revolutionary new home at the Hanna Theatre. The company also presents the region’s annual production of A Christmas Carol – now in its 21st year – each season at the Ohio Theatre. On its main stage and through its extensive educational outreach initiatives, Great Lakes Theater programming reaches over 75,000 adults and students each season. The mission of Great Lakes Theater is to bring the pleasure, power and relevance of classic theater to the widest possible audience in Northern Ohio.

“I keep reminding myself never to be surprised by the high quality of regional theater in America, but I confess to having been taken aback by how good the Great Lakes Theater Festival is…Cleveland has just gotten very lucky indeed…I can’t imagine a more pleasing place in which to see a show.”
