Reading Club - Presented by Cleveland Play House

Imagine if your book club gave you insider access to everything from the world of the story to the author's brain. That's just the type of exciting and in-depth behind-the-scenes look provided by our popular Reading Club!

In a fun, social group setting, you'll spend 75 minutes with a member of the CPH Artistic Staff, who will provide insight into the play itself, and lead a lively discussion about how directors, actors, and designers put their skills to use in taking a play from the page to the stage.


For one low price, you receive a copy of each script. At no extra charge you're also allowed (and encouraged!) to bring your spouse, high-school-aged children, and friends. To keep it affordable, you'll receive just one script for each production, but please feel free to share it with your invited guests.

To maintain an intimate atmosphere, Reading Club membership is limited.

Members Receive:

  • A copy of the script approximately 4 weeks prior to meeting
  • Discussion questions to help guide your reading
  • An invitation to the Reading Club discussion on the Monday before performances begin, and to the final Sunday Audience Forum

PlayhouseSquare is located in Cleveland's theater district located on Euclid Avenue, between East 14th and East 17th Streets. Where do we park?

The PlayhouseSquare Garage is located at East 15th and Chester with elevators located on each level and a walkway to the complex. PlayhouseSquare has kept event night parking affordable for our customers. Parking can be purchased for the on-site PlayhouseSquare garage for just $12.00 ($10.00 advance purchase). Do you need to purchase tickets by phone or in-person?

The Ticket Office is located in the State Theatre lobby and is open Monday-Sunday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Hours vary when we have an evening performance and will also vary during the summer months. To confirm operating hours call the Ticket Office information line at 216-771-8403. Tickets may also be purchased by phone Monday - Sunday from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. at 216-241-6000 or 866-546-1353.
