For 11 years, Geraldine Brooks worked for The Wall Street Journal as a correspondent until making her fiction debut with her novel, Year of Wonders: A Novel of the Plague – an international bestseller. Geraldine’s has also published acclaimed work in nonfiction. In 2006, Brooks was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for her second novel March. The latest recipient of the Dayton Literary Peace Prize for Lifetime Achievement, Geraldine’s newest novel is Caleb’s Crossing.Pulitzer Prize winner. Tony Horwitz worked overseas as a correspondent for The Wall Street Journal and as a staff writer for The New Yorker before entering the world of a full-time author. His books have been named national and New York Times bestsellers. Tony’s other work include “Mississippi Wood,” a documentary on PBS about Southern loggers and “The Devil May Care,” a collection of fifty tales about intrepid Americans.
