Mark Morris Dance Group
The brash and profound Mark Morris Dance Group returns to Cleveland on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Palace Theatre. DANCECleveland calls this performance stunning, rhythmic, and musically organic. With live music through the entire performance, Mark Morris Dance Group has attracted audiences worldwide for over 30 years with fresh, thought-provoking dances. It is a modern dance company that is acclaimed for their craftsmanship, ingenuity, humor, and eclectic live musical accompaniments. Affectionately known as America’s dance company, Mark Morris Dance Group is acclaimed for its ability to make classical music visible through dance. In short, they are, quite simply, the best. New York Times sais; “Whether the effect is joyous, bombastic or quiet as can be, the connective tissue in Mr. Morris’ choreography is rhythm.”
Co-Presented by DANCECleveland, CSU’s Center for Arts and Innovation (CAI), CSU’s Department of Theatre and Dance and PlayhouseSquare.
