Jose Antonio Vargas - Town Hall Speaker Series

Author of "My Life as an Undocumented Immigrant"

Jose Antonio Vargas is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist for The Washington Post covering HIV/ AIDS, tech and video game culture, and the 2008 presidential campaign. He has written for the Philadelphia Daily News, San Francisco Chronicle, Rolling Stone and New York. He taught "Storytelling 2.0" at Georgetown University and served on the advisory board for the Knight-Batten Award for Innovations in Journalism, housed at American University. He is the founder of Define American, a non-profit organization that seeks to elevate the conversation around immigration, and is himself an undocumented immigrant to the United States.

Where do we park?

The PlayhouseSquare Garage is located at East 15th and Chester with elevators located on each level and a walkway to the complex. PlayhouseSquare has kept event night parking affordable for our customers. Parking can be purchased for the on-site PlayhouseSquare garage for just $12.00 ($10.00 advance purchase). Do you need to purchase tickets by phone or in-person?

The Ticket Office is located in the State Theatre lobby and is open Monday-Sunday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Hours vary when we have an evening performance and will also vary during the summer months. To confirm operating hours call the Ticket Office information line at 216-771-8403. Tickets may also be purchased by phone Monday - Sunday from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. at 216-241-6000 or 866-546-1353.
