Kenny Garrett has become the pre-eminent alto saxophonist of his generation. From his first gig with the Duke Ellington Orchestra through his time spent with musicians such as Freddie Hubbard, Woody Shaw, Miles Davis and Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers, Garrett has brought a melodic and truly distinctive sound to every musical situation. He has been a band leader for two decades, and expands his musical voice through exploration of genres and traditions around the globe.

 

Children Policy:
Children under two years old are generally not permitted in the theaters. At designated performances Children of all ages are permitted. However, everyone regardless of age must have a ticket. All children must be seated with an adult. Any person disrupting a performance or inhibiting the enjoyment of an event for guests may be removed from the theater without refund.

Where do we park?

The PlayhouseSquare Garage is located at East 15th and Chester with elevators located on each level and a walkway to the complex. PlayhouseSquare has kept event night parking affordable for our customers. Parking can be purchased for the on-site PlayhouseSquare garage for just $12.00 ($10.00 advance purchase). Do you need to purchase tickets by phone or in-person?

The Ticket Office is located in the State Theatre lobby and is open Monday-Sunday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Hours vary when we have an evening performance and will also vary during the summer months. To confirm operating hours call the Ticket Office information line at 216-771-8403. Tickets may also be purchased by phone Monday - Sunday from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. at 216-241-6000 or 866-546-1353.
