Slam U Field Trip for High School Students

Reinvigorate your writing program! Bring your high school students to PlayhouseSquare and join us for a morning of writing and performance workshops. Led by slam poets, students learn the origins and structure of slam poetry, participate in a writing and performance workshop, then take part in a mini-slam. Students also have the opportunity to share their own written work during an open mic session.

Be sure to register early as this field trip fills up quickly!

How do we get there?

PlayhouseSquare is located in Cleveland's theater district located on Euclid Avenue, between East 14th and East 17th Streets. Where do we park?

The PlayhouseSquare Garage is located at East 15th and Chester with elevators located on each level and a walkway to the complex. PlayhouseSquare has kept event night parking affordable for our customers. Parking can be purchased for the on-site PlayhouseSquare garage for just $12.00 ($10.00 advance purchase). Do you need to purchase tickets by phone or in-person?

The Ticket Office is located in the State Theatre lobby and is open Monday-Sunday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Hours vary when we have an evening performance and will also vary during the summer months. To confirm operating hours call the Ticket Office information line at 216-771-8403. Tickets may also be purchased by phone Monday - Sunday from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. at 216-241-6000 or 866-546-1353.
