Cabaret 101 - Presented by PlayhouseSquare Community Engagement and Education

Cabaret 101 is an 8-week series of classes designed to teach participants about this exciting music genre. Background and experience are not necessary. In the relaxed and supportive class environment attendees will learn about the art of singing a song in an intimate cabaret setting, discover a new form of self-expression, tap into creativity, and discover new self-confidence. By the end of the session, participants will perform their own 15-minute set with a combo band under the music direction of Charles Eversole. The lessons and skills you learn in Cabaret 101 can build your self confidence as a performer, an actor, a salesperson, a manager, and even a parent. Let out your inner performer or find it at Cabaret 101! Class size is limited to eight participants. Appropriate for 19 years of age and older.

PlayhouseSquare is located in Cleveland's theater district located on Euclid Avenue, between East 14th and East 17th Streets. Where do we park?

The PlayhouseSquare Garage is located at East 15th and Chester with elevators located on each level and a walkway to the complex. PlayhouseSquare has kept event night parking affordable for our customers. Parking can be purchased for the on-site PlayhouseSquare garage for just $10.00. Click here for more information.

Do you need to purchase tickets by phone or in-person?

The Ticket Office is located in the State Theatre lobby and is open Monday-Sunday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Hours vary when we have an evening performance and will also vary during the summer months. To confirm operating hours call the Ticket Office information line at 216-771-8403. Tickets may also be purchased by phone Monday - Sunday from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. at 216-241-6000 or 866-546-1353.
