A Son is Given

New Community Bible Fellowship is set to put to rest the myth that churches ‘play it safe’ with their groundbreaking retelling of the classic story of the Nativity.  

A Son Is Given is the retelling of the classic story of the Nativity as an urban ballet. This Christmas production is set apart by a unique blend of modern dance, drama, ballet, hip-hop and an original music score. “This isn’t your grandmother’s Nativity,” Kevin James – Executive Producer, said. The setting is distinctly urban and the dancers are some of Cleveland’s finest. Fight scenes depict the battle of good vs. evil and a tender love story is threatened by an alleged affair and an assassin’s knife.

Nationally renowned choreographer and native Clevelander Dianne McIntyre, is consulting choreographer for the project and Kenya Woods, accomplished dancer, choreographer and instructor is principal choreographer who combined bring more than 60 years of professional dance experience to the project. Myron Davis, former national recording artist, is writer, director and composer of all original music.
 

Children Policy:
Children under two years old are generally not permitted in the theaters. At designated performances Children of all ages are permitted. However, everyone regardless of age must have a ticket. All children must be seated with an adult. Any person disrupting a performance or inhibiting the enjoyment of an event for guests may be removed from the theater without refund.
