Tours depart every 15 minutes 10-11:30 a.m. and last approximately 90 minutes. Last tour departs at 11:30 a.m.

Playhouse Square's history and beauty date back to the early 1920s. Over the past century, our historic theaters have undergone transformations from vaudeville houses to movie palaces to vacant buildings that were close to being torn down to the beautifully restored spaces we enjoy today.

Nearly 100 years after our historic theaters first opened, Playhouse Square has become the largest performing arts center outside of New York City and hosts nearly 1,000,000 guests and 1,000 curtains each year. Each of the theaters has its own story to tell. Our tours are a great way to learn about the history and community impact of one of Cleveland’s most important cultural institutions.
