Vegan Options Around The District

The Playhouse Square District is the perfect place to grab a bite, pre or post show, for lunch and dinner!  We’re showcasing some vegan dishes the restaurants around the district have to offer. There’s something for everyone when dining in the district so check out a few of our favorite vegan options below:


Corbo’s: An ideal place for all things dessert, Corbo’s offers different vegan options that are sure to satisfy that sweet craving! The list of treats include: Limencello Gelato, Lemon Ice Quarts, Vegan Lattes and Cappuccinos. They also carry a variety of Lucy’s vegan products for a sweet treat.

Cowell and Hubbard: Open for dinner, Cowell and Hubbard offers great options for tasty entrées. Enjoy French-inspired vegan cuisine like the Seared Tofu and Shepherd’s Pie. They also offer a Vegan Pizza with baba ganoush, spinach, mushroom, bell pepper, red onion, shaved fennel and gremolata.

Sung’s House: Sung’s house is a must for vegan eating in the district. With lots of vegetable-centered dishes, you can enjoy lunch and dinner with plenty of options. For sushi lovers, you can order the veggie roll and enjoy it with some vegan starters including: Edamame, House Salad, Wakame, and Cucumber Salad. With plenty of entrée options as well, indulge in the Tofu Teriyaki and Yaki Udon.

Hofbrauhaus: Hofbrauhaus is the perfect place to indulge in traditional German fare. They have many plant-based options to choose from like Vegan Bratwurst, made with vegetable proteins, and the Vegan Pierogis. Enjoy the giant freshly baked pretzels (which are also vegan!), grab a litre, dance on the tables and immerse yourself in German traditions.
