November 30, 2020
Dear BWY in CLE Family,
During this time of giving thanks, I find myself in a state of grateful awe. Despite the uncertainty of 2020, 34,000 of you – the season ticket holders who make up our Broadway in CLE family – have continued your commitment to Playhouse Square. That dedication, along with your enthusiasm for the return of touring Broadway, is what keeps me hopeful for our future.
In turn, it has been my commitment to keep you updated with the latest information as we navigate the twists and turns of this pandemic.
Based on what we know today about the state of the virus, the hopeful news regarding a vaccine and the status of the touring industry, we anticipate that the KeyBank Broadway Series will return to our stages in the fall of 2021.
We know this means an even longer wait for the Broadway experience we all love, but imagine for a moment how joyful it will be when we can safely witness the spectacle of live theater again. I can assure you the experience will be worth it.
Until that time comes, we will keep you "in the know" about the best of Playhouse Square and the district through The Buzz newsletter that we have already begun sending you, and we will continue to serve up delicious bites of Broadway like Frozen Week and Hamilton Week.
If you are a current Season Ticket Holder, you will receive an email regarding your season ticket plan. No action is needed on your part, but know that our staff is here to assist you with any questions or concerns.
If you are not yet a Season Ticket Holder and would like to become one or to receive more information, please call (216) 640-8800.
On behalf of everyone at Playhouse Square, I wish you peace and comfort this holiday season.
President & CEO
When will I know the new show dates?
We are working with the information we have today. It is always possible that some things may change, even during “normal” seasons, but we will keep you notified and informed along the way and as soon as we have the confirmed dates, we will share them with you. Keep in mind that Season Ticket Holders can always use the ticket exchange benefit if dates conflict with your busy schedule!
Why am I still paying for the series now if it isn’t starting until the fall?
Though this year has certainly been unusual, payments for season tickets have always been made in advance of the season starting and help to guarantee your seat location and tenure. However, we are always happy to be flexible and helpful with your needs. If you have concerns, call us at 216-664-6050 to speak with one of your service representatives. Donors, please contact your Donor Relations Representative. We are available to assist Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
What about my bill plan payments?
There will be no payment charged on December 5. Your monthly payments will resume on January 5, 2021 with all payments being completed by June 30, 2021. If you have questions or concerns about your payment plan, please contact us at 216-664-6050 to speak with one of your service representatives. Donors, please call your Donor Relations Representative. We are available to assist Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
When do I need to make the decision to continue with my Season Tickets?
As a member of our Season Ticket Holder family, we will continue to provide you the benefit of flexible ticketing options. If concerns about your health and safety cause you to have second thoughts about joining us in the theaters, we are here to help.
Can I get a refund if the new dates do not work for me?
We have always offered a remarkable exchange option as a benefit to our Season Ticket Holders and will continue to do so. We are committed to bringing you the best experience, but will give you a refund on your tickets if that is your desire. Keep in mind that you will forgo your seat location and tenure which provides greater benefits the longer you remain a Season Ticket Holder.
Can I purchase Broadway Season Tickets now for when shows return in the fall?
Yes. Season Tickets are available now by calling 216-640-8800.
I have tickets to Jesus Christ Superstar and/or My Fair Lady. What is happening with those shows?
Please hold onto your tickets in anticipation of new dates.
