RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Embrace Playhouse Square values and programs that further diversity, equity, and inclusion within the department.
- Plan, implement and document installations, configurations and updates of network equipment.
- Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentations.
- Monitor and optimize network infrastructure for optimal performance and security.
- Perform risk assessments of existing and new infrastructure providing guidance on resolving or mitigating risk.
- Triage and investigate issues to determine root cause, apply appropriate remediations, and take proactive measures to prevent future occurrences.
- Keep network devices up to date and perform emergency updates if CVEs are released.
- Assist with assessment of network environment for security risks. Propose and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Participate in Cybersecurity activities, including but not limited to compliance, system vulnerability scanning, and performing log reviews.
- Work with vendors & clients to resolve network-related issues.
- Assist with management of internal core infrastructure, network devices and services.
- Provide cross support with Information Technology staff and information security operations.
- Manage, create and resolve network related service desk tickets as assigned.
- Provide after hours support as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year network experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in an information technical or cyber security field preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of networking and cyber security required. Network and cyber security certification preferred.
- Ability to work and communicate well as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to think strategically, juggle multiple priorities, adjust to changing circumstances, organize time efficiently and remain attentive to details.
- Professional level of written and verbal communication.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, frequently sit, and lift up to 50 lbs.
