Production Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Embrace Playhouse Square values and programs that further Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within the department.
2. Assist with the maintenance of all stages, orchestra pits, dressing rooms, communication systems and technical support areas on the entire Playhouse Square campus by reporting any necessary repairs to the Director of Production or Director of Facilities. 
3. As assigned by Director of Production, advance, supervise, communicate, and coordinate all production aspects of the presenting and producing shows, including permitting and fire prevention.  Be available from load-in through load-out or as assigned.
4. Supervise union affiliated crews during load ins, performance, load out and maintenance calls.
5. Arrange for and supervise delivery, pick-up and payment for rented equipment. 
6. Maintain a working knowledge of all union contracts
7. Assist clients on the technical specifications, costs and usage of theatre equipment and rented equipment required for performances & events.
8. Maintain a working knowledge of evolving stage technology, IT and projection systems.
9. Prepare billing and settlement as needed.
10. Prepare cost estimates for productions as required.

Qualifications

1. Minimum of three years of experience in stage or production management.
2. Outgoing, people-oriented person, with outstanding interpersonal skills.
3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
4. Ability to read light plots and ground plans.  Ability to implement tech riders.
5. Knowledge of current PC hardware and software, including strong Excel skills.
6. Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
7. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
8. Availability to work evenings and weekends, as required.
