Broadway Summer Camp for Teens

Playhouse Square’s annual Broadway Summer Camp for high school students - incoming freshman through outgoing seniors (typically ages 14-18) - is a one week intensive focusing on the triple threat of musical theater – acting, singing and dancing. The intensive is designed for students who regularly participate in acting classes, take vocal lessons and/or study dance; participate in school or community theater productions; and plan to study musical theater in college or perform professionally.

This year’s camp is July 15- 19, 2019 and will include master classes led by cast members from the touring production of COME FROM AWAY. Registration includes a light breakfast and a full lunch each day, a professional headshot and one (1) ticket to see COME FROM AWAY at Playhouse Square on Friday July 19, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. Show tickets are non-exchangeable. The week culminates with a short student showcase for family and friends in the afternoon on Friday July 19, 2019.

Registration Information:
The Broadway Summer Camp registration period is April 1 - May 31, 2019 or until registration is at capacity. The registration fee is $450. Payment plans are available. Register before May 1, 2019 for a three-month payment plan option. If you register on or after May 1, 2019, a two-month payment plan is available. Registration is open from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. All calls, inquiries and registrations will be processed in the order of receipt. Call Julie at 216-640-8458 to register.

Scholarship Information:
Playhouse Square is pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships, which cover the full tuition. These scholarships are awarded based on financial need and talent/artistic potential.

The scholarship application period is April 1 - May 31, 2019. Scholarship applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday May 31, 2019 to be considered.
