Caleb Teicher & Company returns to Cleveland to kick off the ADF in CLE Summer Festival and takes the stage with renowned pianist and Lincoln Center Emerging Artist and pianist, Conrad Tao, in a stunning and sensitive evening-length work, titled, “More Forever”. This remarkable work blurs the lines between movement and music. Set to Tao’s new contemporary score for piano and electronics, the dancers perform on a custom-built sandbox stage and explore the unique sonic potential of dancing on sand. Caleb began his dance career as a founding member of Michelle Dorrance’s celebrated company, Dorrance Dance, in 2011 and burst onto the dance scene with his own choreography for tap and swing. Since then he has been awarded multiple awards including: a 2011 Bessie Award for Outstanding Individual Performance. His work has been featured by The New York Times, NPR, Forbes, Vogue, Interview Magazine, and most recently, as the cover of Dance Magazine’s September 2019 issue. Using such American dance traditions as Tap, Vernacular Jazz, and Lindy Hop, the company makes music come alive through their movement. DANCECleveland previously presented Caleb Teicher & Company in Cleveland at Cain Park in 2018.
