Theater Housekeeping - Full Time

Playhouse Square is seeking a team player to work in our beautiful, historic theaters as a member of the theater housekeeping team. We require an individual with excellent communication skills, is self-motivated, and able to work independently. RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Embrace Playhouse Square values and programs that further Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within the department.
  2. Perform daily housekeeping activities as required by the schedule and by the needs of the Center.
  3. Maintain supplies and inventory spaces in an organized and professional manner.
  4. Constantly observe areas of Playhouse Square for housekeeping needs, attend to them or report them to Supervisor for later attention.
  5. Maintain good communications with co-workers and supervisor.
  6. Work within the needs of daily routine as specified by the daily schedule and personal work assignments.
  7. Become familiar with the operation of all housekeeping equipment.
  8. Perform other duties as requested by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Facilities Manager.
  9. Work cooperatively with maintenance, security, other departments and contract cleaning crews as needed.
  10. At the start of each shift, check information board for previous and scheduled events to determine spaces needing attention.
  11. Complete daily task sheets using computerized work order system.

Qualifications

  1. Prior housekeeping experience.
  2. Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and work with cleaning chemicals.
  3. Excellent verbal communication skills.
  4. Knowledge of current PC hardware and software.
  5. Outgoing, people oriented person with outstanding interpersonal skills.
  6. Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
