RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee production logistics for Special Events and programming as assigned by the Director of Production.
- Prepare technical estimates including labor and production related costs for events/activities pertaining to Special Events and assigned programming.
- Manage & set-up AV systems (speakers, microphones, projectors, lighting) needed for events/activities in the theater lobbies, support spaces and non-affiliated union theatres.
- Assist in scheduling and supervising stagehand labor needed for assigned Special Events and programming.
- Ensure advance information conforms to approved riders and contracts on all events and programs as assigned.
- Effectively communicate production details to all necessary Playhouse Square staff including stagehands.
- Supervise and arrange delivery, pick-up and payment of rented equipment needed for assigned events/programs.
- Stay up to date with affiliated Union contracts.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of applicable professional theatrical/production work experience.
- Experience reading and interpreting drawings and other technical materials.
- Hands-on experience working with audio equipment and projection equipment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Working knowledge of labor contracts, specifically I.A.T.S.E.
- Outgoing, people-oriented person, with outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication/analytical skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights.
- Ability to work nights and weekends.
