Production Supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Oversee production logistics for Special Events and programming as assigned by the Director of Production.
  2. Prepare technical estimates including labor and production related costs for events/activities pertaining to Special Events and assigned programming. 
  3. Manage audio systems (lectern, speaker, microphones) needs for events/activities in the theater lobbies and support spaces.
  4. Assist in scheduling and supervising stagehand labor needed for assigned Special Events and programming.
  5. Assist the Director of Production with day to day stage and performance related health and safety operations, including distribution and tracking of Antigen home tests and PPE.
  6. Ensure advance information conforms to approved riders and contracts on all events and programs as assigned.
  7. Effectively communicate production details to all necessary Playhouse Square staff.
  8. Supervise and arrange delivery, pick-up and payment of rented equipment needed for assigned events/programs.
  9. Stay up to date with affiliated Union contracts.

Qualifications

  1. 3-5 years of applicable professional theatrical/production work experience.
  2. Experience reading and interpreting drawings and other technical materials.
  3. Hands-on experience working with audio equipment.
  4. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  5. Working knowledge of labor contracts, specifically I.A.T.S.E.
  6. Outgoing, people oriented person, with outstanding interpersonal skills.
  7. Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
  8. Excellent verbal and written communication/analytical skills.
  9. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  10. Ability to work nights and weekends.
