Happy Valentine's Day to all you Broadway lovers out there! To celebrate the day, we're falling head over heals for the romantic sounds from our season of shows. From HADESTOWN to ALADDIN, there's a lot ot love at Playhouse Square this Broadway season...what's your favorite?

A classic hit of Elton’s from the '70s, reimagined in Baz Luhrmann’s 2001 movie musical, now "Your Song" belongs to Broadway! With the effortlessly talented Aaron Tveit serenading us on the original cast album, "Your Song" from Moulin Rouge! The Musical is on repeat for us this Valentine’s Day.

So it’s not the traditional ‘love’ we’re singing about here, but love nonetheless. It’s a moment in the show where the character Beverly sings of her love for flying and how she became a pilot. For Forever

Celebrating the love we find in true friendship, "For Forever" from DEAR EVAN HANSEN paints the picture of “two friends on a perfect day.” With a soaring melody and wonderfully descriptive lyrics, "For Forever" transports us to the perfect day at the end of May with our own best friend.

A musical theater classic, MY FAIR LADY boasts beautiful costumes, beautiful scenery, and most importantly beautiful songs. With a timeless score by Frederick Lowe, "I Could Have Danced All Night" is a a quintessential Broadway love song, full of the giddy excitement and joy that new love brings.

A Whole New World

We fell in love with this musical masterpiece from Menken back in the '90s and 30 years on, we’re still singing this tune from this cartoon movie megahit. Now a bona fide Broadway blockbuster, ALADDIN delivers magical lamps, Genies, carpet rides, Arabian nights and love!

If you haven’t listened to SIX yet, where have you been? The smash-hit UK import has been blowing up Broadway box offices since 2021. And we are beyond excited to welcome it to Cleveland this summer. The soundtrack is an uptempo pop mix of megahit after megahit, with the cherry on the cake in the form of the emotional ballad from character Jane Seymour - "Heart of Stone."

I Don’t Know How To Love Him

A classic from Lloyd Webber’s extensive catalogue of work, this number from Mary Magdalene speaks to all us ‘lover’s fool’s. Seemingly simple in its melody, it has always felt so epic to us, a true love song or should we say unrequited love song, that stands the test of time.

All I’ve Ever Known

Last but not least on our love song selection, is the soft and soothing sound of "All I’ve Ever Known", from HADESTOWN. So sweet, so sincere, and oh so catchy. A beautiful duet between the lovesick leading characters, Orpheus and Eurydice. If you haven’t seen this show or at least listened to the soundtrack, this is your final warning folks - go listen, and fall in love!
