Back in October 2022, we unveiled the next phase of our neighborhood transformation with the plans for new theater marquees.
Designed to bring the grandeur and beauty of our 100-year-old, fully-restored theaters outdoors, this next phase features dazzling new theater marquees, and technology upgrades for elements installed during the original phase of the transformation.
These sensational marquees will stand as an enduring public tribute to everyone who has brought us through our first 100 years and to the bright possibilities ahead.
The Construction
MARCH 16: With the old facades being removed, work can now officially begin on our new marquees.
APRIL 16: New steel framework has been installed ready for our incoming Marquee updates.
APRIL 28: The Connor Palace marquee front begins to take shape.
MAY 10: The old marquee uprights are removed.
JUNE 14: The new Connor Palace marquee has arrived!
JUNE 15: And it's up! Euclid Avenue just got a whole lot more...dazzling!
JULY 7: Our Allen Theatre is the next to go gold this summer.
August 3: Welcome to the golden gang Hanna Theatre, home of Great Lakes Theater.
August 21: Lightbulb moment! The lights are added to our new marquees.
