Dance for Parkinson's Classes
In collaboration with Cleveland Clinic
Dance for Parkinson’s Classes enhance the health and well-being of people with Parkinson’s through weekly dance classes that explore movement possibilities, celebrate community, and cultivate joy in a fun and participant-centered environment.
Dance improves motor skills and control, supports cognitive health, and enhances mood. Dance for PD®-trained instructors follow a research-backed model that addresses balance, coordination, flexibility, and more through a variety of dance styles. Vivid imagery, flowing movement, and rhythmic steps are combined with live music to engage and inspire participants. All levels of ability and mobility are welcome. No dance experience is required.
Classes are free of charge to people with Parkinson’s and their care partners and advanced registrations includes complementary valet parking near the entrance. Classes meet in accessible spaces at Playhouse Square.
Advanced registration for class is encouraged for each individual, including companions (care partner, family member, friend, aide). Drop-in participation will be accommodated when possible. Complementary valet is only available with advanced registration.
Participants can register for as many classes as they like at once or register for classes as they go.
