The Dazzle Awards program provides adjudication for participating high schools in seven counties throughout Northeast Ohio. The seven counties are Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit. Adjudication consists of robust educational feedback and numeric scoring for all eligible categories. Using the approved rubric as a guide, adjudicators evaluate how each school production meets or exceeds its potential based on their available resources, charging schools to create the best possible work in their unique circumstance and environment.
Playhouse Square is seeking candidates with a generous spirit and a goal of aiding in a school’s/student’s artistic growth. We are looking for candidates who have extensive experience in one of the arts disciplines with a strong sense of objectivity. Panelists must adjudicate a minimum of 4 productions each school year. Scheduling is based on availability, conflicts of interest and program needs. Adjudicators are asked to attend a variety of productions showcasing the diversity represented in our participating schools, which may require traveling up to 60 minutes from their home.
