Would you like to join our Disney Musicals in Schools Teaching Artist Team?

Our Teaching Artists (TAs) are the true ambassadors of the DMIS program! We are looking for dynamic, energetic, collaborative applicants who are ready for a unique teaching experience. The goal of this program is sustainability and to act as professional development for classroom teachers. To achieve this, our TAs must work with not only students but also their selected School Team to train them in the roles of Choreographer, Director, Music Director, and Stage Manager.

Teaching experience with Elementary aged students and a background in theater are a plus.

In pairs, our Teaching Artists are assigned to one of our four Year-1 DMIS Schools for one 90-minute rehearsal a week for 19 weeks (October 9, 2023 – March 4, 2024 – Weeks off for holidays are factored in). Additional requirements include Teaching Artist Training Week (September 25 – 29, 2023), four mandatory Production Meetings with your school team, attending at least one of the in-school performances, and the culminating event of Student Share at Playhouse Square (March 11, 2024).
