Based on the New York Times best-selling book by Sonia Sotomayor, Just Ask: The Musical is a vibrant, heartwarming story set in a community garden where a diverse group of young people come together to build something beautiful. As they work, they learn about one another’s unique abilities, challenges, and strengths discovering that curiosity, empathy, and honest questions can deepen understanding and friendship. Guided by Sonia, who quietly carries her own story, the group faces obstacles, including a mysterious plant and the looming threat of losing their garden. Through songs, storytelling, and collaboration, the characters learn that differences are something to celebrate, not avoid. The musical ultimately becomes a joyful reminder that by working together—and simply asking—we can create a world where everyone belongs.
