As the curtain falls on another unforgettable season here at Playhouse Square, we’re looking back on the standing ovation moments from our visiting Broadway tours. With A Beautiful Noise, Some Like It Hot, Life of Pi, Parade, &Juliet, Shucked, and Kimberly Akimbo lighting up our theaters this past KeyBank Broadway Series, Cleveland was taken on a rollercoaster ride of laughter and tears, amazement and fear with our stage playing host to a ferocious tiger and stormy seas, glitz, glamor and gangsters, heart-wrenching stories from a hometown star, pop perfection in a Shakespearian shake-up, a seize the day heart-warmer, the corniest musical comedy ever, and a diamond of a show that was so good, so good, SO GOOD!
But it wasn’t just about what happened under stage spotlight. This season was made even more special by the people who make Playhouse Square feel like home—our RedCoat volunteers who welcomed us with a smile and entertained us all season long on social media, our incredible staff who worked tirelessly to bring the best of Broadway to Cleveland and of course - you. Our passionate #BroadwayCleveland audiences who cheered, gasped, laughed, cried, and stood to applaud the talented artists on our stage. All of you reminded us why live theater is so much more than just the show—it’s a shared experience.
Let’s take a look back at the moments that made this season shine.
