Holiday Happenings in the Playhouse Square District
It’s time! The holiday season is here in Downtown Cleveland, and there’s nowhere better to celebrate than in the bustling Playhouse Square District. Come join us this winter for an array of festive performances, dazzling decor, and seasonal events that will have your heart growing three times its size with holiday cheer.

Eat, Drink and Be Merry
There’s no shortage of specialty menus here in the PSQ District. Whether you’re sipping, snacking, or wanting to meet a certain Christmas celebrity, these options will deliver.
Stop by The Brasserie or The Bulkley Bar (or both) within the Bulkley Building for handcrafted coffees and holiday cocktails.
Corbo's Bakery right next door will also have seasonal sweet treats including assorted cookie trays that are perfect for any holiday gathering.

The Friars’ Table is welcoming Santa Claus for a Christmas brunch on Sunday, Dec. 6. So, make those lists and check them twice as you get ready to visit with ole St. Nick.
Special events don’t stop there as Hofbrauhaus is hosting a variety of festivities featuring various holiday icons. We’re most excited for brunch with the Grinch, where those happy Whos can have a photo op. This special event includes tickets to see Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical at the Connor Palace!
Our very own President & CEO Craig Hassall is also making an appearance at Hofbrauhaus for the Doppelbock Keg Tapping on December 3, where he will personally tap the keg and take the first sip of the chocolatey, malted Doppelbock. Make sure to come cheer him on!

Winter Wonderland
The Playhouse Square District pulls out all the stops when it comes to decorating, and this holiday season is no different. Don’t miss out on the huge ornament and Christmas tree outside at Playhouse Square Plaza. For those with performance tickets, make sure to arrive early to see how we’ve decked the halls with garlands, trees and lights, or stop by our special Playhouse Square holiday shop in the Bulkley Building.

Making Spirits Bright
After you’ve got your fill of milk, cookies and beer, stop by one of the many festive and fun events happening in and around the district.
There’s SNOW better way to start off the holiday season than with a visit to WinterLand. And this year’s event features a special guest – The Grinch! Bring your family and friends to get your free photo with the Grinch before he takes to the Playhouse Square stage and enjoy the day’s festivities at Public Square on Saturday, Nov. 29.
Crowne Plaza is hosting its annual “Pictures with Santa Paws” event, welcoming furry friends from around the area to meet the one and only Santa. This paw-dorable event is taking place on December 13 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Playhouse Square Plaza, and all four-legged attendees will get a free photo with Santa Claus. Hot chocolate, dog treats and prizes will be available alongside the option to donate to the Cleveland APL.

Brush up on your holiday caroling at Ben and Jerry’s this winter, as they host karaoke nights on Tuesdays and their famous Vermonster sundae eating contests on Wednesdays. Empty stomachs and holiday-themed apparel are encouraged.
Keep your festive outfits handy for Hofbrauhaus’s Ugly Sweater Party on December 5, complete with a stein holding competition and an appearance from the one and only Krampus.
