Our favorite Lin-Manuel Moments

Happy Birthday to the one, the only Lin-Manuel Miranda! Lin turns 41 on January 16, and in celebration we have compiled some of our favorite moments from the composer. Check them out!

When he freestyled with Jimmy Fallon

...this video just speaks for itself.

The performance that started it all…

Lin performed “The Hamilton Mixtape” at the White House Evening of Poetry, Music, and the Spoken Word on May 12, 2009 for Michelle and Barack Obama. A few years later, Hamilton hit Broadway, and the rest is history!

Carpool Karaoke

Lin joined Broadway stars Audra McDonald, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Jane Krakowski in a Broadway-themed edition of James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke. Their rendition of One Day More? Possibly the best we’ve ever heard.

Recording with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

We love this clip of Lin recording “You’re Welcome” from Moana with The Rock!

22 Musicals in 12 Minutes

Lin heads back to The Late Late Show to perform 22 Musicals in 12 Minutes with James Corden and Emily Blunt.

Lights up…. On the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!

Lin gave the world a taste of In The Heights on the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2008!

Lin-Manuel: Loud Hailer

“YOU AT THE BARRICADE LISTEN TO THIS!” Lin had the chance to be the “Loud Hailer”, A.K.A., the off-stage voice during Act Two of Les Misérables, during a 2016 performance. His excitement is contagious!

LOVE IS LOVE IS LOVE IS LOVE IS LOVE

We couldn’t let our list end without Lin’s incredible acceptance speech from the 2016 Tony Awards. LOVE IS LOVE IS LOVE!
