Cue the orchestra and bring the spotlight to center stage because the 2025-26 KeyBank Broadway Series is upon us! To get you ready for another exciting season at Playhouse Square, we’ve put together our district dining guide with all of the details to plan your pre-show meals and drinks.
So before you take your seat for the show, check out the Playhouse Square District dining and drink locations that are within walking distance of our historic theaters.
Start of Something New

If you’re looking for a new place for a pre-show drink or food, the district has expanded its dining options thanks to Playhouse Square’s Beyond the Stage initiative. Something Good Social Kitchen, cofounded by Random Acts of Kindness Everywhere creator Ricky Smith, is open in the kiosk on Playhouse Square Plaza with a menu featuring burgers, hot dogs and salads. And the best part? Every meal purchased helps to feed someone in need or someone deserving.
Nationally recognized Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shop also just opened its doors in the Hanna Building (1422 Euclid Ave.). The newest sweet spot features a range of their well-known ice cream flavors, including exclusive flavors for the PSQ District, that can be served in a waffle cone, milkshake, sundae or a classic cup.
Meanwhile, Encore will serve experiential cocktails in an intimate, upscale lounge located on the ground floor of The Lumen (1580 Euclid Ave). The official opening date for Encore will be announced soon.
Food, Glorious Food

The Playhouse Square District is brimming with a wide variety of cuisine options for guests. You can choose from Asian-inspired dishes at Sushi En and Gochujang, German fare at Hofbrauhaus, Italian meals at Corbo’s and Cibreo Italian Kitchen, Lebanese-inspired menus at Sittoo’s & Zaytoon, Mexican food at 1942 Tacos & Tequila and American fare at locations like Brel’s, Republic Food + Drink, The Friars’ Table, Yours Truly, District and The Fruit Stand.
We’ll Drink to That

For a pre- or post-show cocktail, The Bulkley Bar and Bin 216 are located steps away from the theaters & serves specialty drinks, while Parnell’s Irish Pub is the perfect place for pint of Guinness or other libations.
For the coffee and tea lovers, we recommend The Brasserie, Restore Cold Pressed and Starbucks!
