Northeast Ohio residents and visitors to the region can start the new year with some history by stepping inside the stunning theaters for Playhouse Square’s free public tours presented by Medical Mutual. Guests can kick off 2026 with a fresh look at the Playhouse Square District, complete with sightseeing and history, as our beloved RedCoats take you back in time through the fascinating story of the world’s largest theater restoration project.
The tours last approximately 90 minutes and are available on select Saturdays and Mondays throughout the year beginning on Saturday, January 17. Due to performances happening throughout Playhouse Square, certain areas may not be available on each tour. Cameras are permitted as guests are encouraged to capture and share the beauty of Playhouse Square’s theaters. All attendees also receive a free tote bag courtesy of Medical Mutual.
Playhouse Square’s public tours are free, but registration is required. Guests can visit playhousesquare.org/tours to register or learn more about the tours. Private tours of the Playhouse Square performances spaces are also available for a charge for groups of 20 or more.
