Playhouse Square Partners Hosts Annual Jump Back Ball Fundraiser to Benefit Organization’s Educational Programming

Something wicked this way comes as villains are taking over Playhouse Square for this year’s Jump Back Ball!  The annual fundraiser, hosted by Playhouse Square’s young professionals group Partners, is taking place February 17, 2024, with the theme “Villains Unleashed: A Night of Chaos.” While guests might be channeling their favorite villains at the celebration, in the end, goodness prevails as all of the funds from the event go to support Playhouse Square’s not-for-profit mission and educational programming.

Tickets start at $75 and are available for purchase at playhousesquare.org/jumpbackball beginning Monday, November 13. The evening of mischief and revelry includes a bevy of hors d’oeuvres and desserts, an open bar, live entertainment by local acts, dancing on a Playhouse Square stage and games of chance. Guests are also encouraged to dress for the theme.

To prepare for this wickedly wonderful affair, Partners members spend the weeks leading up to the event creating unique décor that incorporates the theme throughout the theaters and their respective lobbies. In the past few years, Partners have built a massive, half-sunken pirate ship, a miniature replica of the London Bridge and a giant boombox as the centerpiece of the KeyBank State Theatre’s lobby.

For more than 30 years, Jump Back Ball has supported Playhouse Square’s educational programs that reach more than 100,000 Northeast Ohio students. Since 1991, Jump Back Ball has generated nearly $3 million to benefit Playhouse Square’s not-for-profit mission.

Jump Back Ball is co-chaired by Partners members Alexis Fender, Ryan Herman and Lindsey Jump. The young professionals group focuses on developing leadership skills and building community connections while supporting Playhouse Square’s not-for-profit mission through fundraising and volunteer work. Membership information is available at playhousesquare.org/partners.

Jump Back Ball is made possible by the generous support of KeyBank Foundation, Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP, Deloitte LLP, Ohio CAT, Roetzel & Andress, LPA, Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP, Labatt USA, MAI Capital Management, Medical Mutual, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, nicholas guglielmo, Taft, DUKE Print Mail Solutions, Pope’s Kitchen and type+design.
