With summer coming to a close and the busyness of fall around the corner, one last vacation — a weekend staycation — is the perfect way to reset. Friday

The official hotel of Playhouse Square, the Crowne Plaza is a destination in itself. With an indoor pool oasis, 24/7 on-site fitness center, on-site restaurant Brel's, and location right near the theaters, you'll have everything you need for a comfortable and convenient stay.

4:00 p.m. — Drinks at Encore

Encore is an intimate cocktail bar, creating the ideal setting for the start of your staycation. Enjoy the #1 Espresso Martini in Cleveland, or something off the curated menu of crafted cocktails. Pair your drink with one of the impeccable small bites they have to offer, and you have the perfect overture to your evening in the district.

5:30 p.m. — Dinner at Republic Food + Drink

Following drinks and small bites, you'll journey over to Republic; a neighborhood tavern featuring flavorful American fare. Enjoy one of their signature selections such as the Shrimp Scampi Linguini or a Republic Rice Bowl. Have a show to catch and worried about time? Have no fear! 7:30 p.m. — See a show at Playhouse Square

It's not a staycation in the Playhouse Square District without seeing a show at one of our historic theaters. Whether you're into comedy, concerts, or Broadway, our programming has something for everyone! Visit our calendar of events here to find a show that you'll enjoy most.

10:30 p.m. — Dessert at Ben and Jerry's

Before heading back to the hotel room, head across Euclid Avenue to enjoy a sweet and decadent treat at Ben and Jerry's. Try one of the classic flavors or a PSQ exclusive for your post-show debrief. It's a sweet way to wind down and soak in the night before new adventures tomorrow.

The breakfast here is truly something to rave about! Recognized by Cleveland Magazine as one of the Best Brunches in Cleveland, Yours Truly's “anytime breakfast” is a great way to start the day. Try the critically acclaimed “Killit Skillit” or the more traditional “Sunrise” breakfast. With plenty more menu and a la carte items available, there's something for everyone to start the day right.

9:30 a.m. — Playhouse Square Public Tours or Walk Around the District

With five fully restored historic theaters, Playhouse Square is the largest theater restoration project in the world. Join us for a free tour on select Saturdays to find out how these gems were saved from the wrecking ball! Public tours are an hour and a half and are free, but registration is required. Another option is to take a leisurely stroll around the Playhouse Square District. Take in the sights of the historic buildings, the happenings on the Plaza, art installations and unique surrounding nature.

11:00 a.m. — Check Out of the Crowne Plaza Hotel

Once you have wrapped up your morning, head back to the hotel to check out. With parking available, bring your luggage to the car and enjoy lunch before you head home!

11:30 a.m. — Lunch at Hofbräuhaus

For one last hurrah in the PSQ District, make your way to Hofbräuhaus Cleveland for a hearty Bavarian-style lunch and a memorable farewell to the weekend.
