CLEVELAND, OH – WICKED, Cleveland’s most popular musical, will return to Playhouse Square Wednesday, December 9 – Sunday, January 3. Tickets for the return engagement go on sale Tuesday, July 28 at 10 a.m.
In Cleveland, WICKED will play Tuesdays through Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 1:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 1:00 p.m. & 6:30 p.m. Additional matinee performances are scheduled for Thursday, December 10; Wednesday, December 23; Thursday, December 24; Wednesday, December 30; and Thursday, December 31. Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, WICKED has music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, and a book by Winnie Holzman. The blockbuster film version of WICKED opened on November 22nd, 2024, and is the highest grossing film based on a Broadway musical in history. The second film, WICKED: FOR GOOD, opened on Friday, November 21st, 2025, and is currently the third highest-grossing film based on a Bradway musical.
