Playhouse Square is dedicated to the security and enjoyment of our guests at every event. Please remember to be a good neighbor to those seated around you.
Arriving Late
Each individual show’s producer or artist determines the seating guidelines for late arriving guests. In some instances, if you arrive after the show begins, you may be asked to wait until there is a natural break in the act before going to your seat.
Bag Check Policy
Playhouse Square inspects all handbags, diaper bags and cases at points of entry. The following items are not permitted in Playhouse Square theaters. Please leave them in your car or at home.
Camera Policy
Cameras; camera phones; audio, video and digital recorders; and paging devices are not permitted in the theaters. Anyone found to be recording or photographing a performance without permission may be ejected without refund.
Code of Conduct
If the ticket holder’s conduct endangers or disrupts the performers or other guests, Playhouse Square reserves the right to remove the ticket holder from the premises. No refunds will be made.
Content Advisory / Child Policy
Dress Code
There is no dress code! Wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable. Playhouse Square is your performing arts center and we want you to feel most welcome, regardless of wardrobe.
The type of performance can sometimes be the best indicator of what is most often worn by others. For example, the audiences might be dressier for a live theater event than they might be for a pop/rock concert, comedy or family show.
Men often wear casual slacks with a button down shirt or sweater and jacket while others opt for jeans and a polo shirt. Some men even prefer wearing a suit. Attire for the ladies varies from dresses and skirts to pants and jeans. Proper footwear may be a consideration, as most of our historic theaters do not have elevator, and you may need to access your seats via stairs.
Fraudulent Tickets
Playhouse Square is not able to verify the authenticity of tickets purchased through third parties. Learn more about how to protect yourself from purchasing fraudulent tickets.
Image Use
By attending an event at Playhouse Square, you consent to the use of your image or likeness incidental to any live or recorded video, photography, or transmission or reproduction of the event you are attending.
Mobile Tickets
Playhouse Square offers mobile ticket delivery on most shows. Simply choose "Digital Touch Free Delivery" as your delivery method and your tickets will arrive in your email inbox, ready to be added to your iOS or Android device. Learn how to access and add your mobile tickets to your device.
Smoking / Vaping
Smoking, including electronic smoking or "vaping," is not permitted indoors at Playhouse Square.
Texting & Mobile Device Usage
The experience of a live performance can be ruined by the interruption of ringtones, vibrating phones or conversation. The magic of a darkened theater can be disrupted by the light of text messaging. Please be considerate to others and remember to turn off your mobile device for the duration of the show.
Ticket Refunds
All ticket sales are final. Refunds, exchanges or retroactive discounts are not possible.
Ticket Resale
Playhouse Square has the right to revoke tickets purchased for the purpose of reselling them at a higher price or tickets being sold at a price higher than listed on our website (playhousesquare.org).
Weather Policy
Performances are not canceled and refunds are not provided due to weather conditions. Our Performance Updates page includes the most up-to-date information regarding show delays or cancelations.
